Day 4 Engine 2 Fall 28 day challenge in Northeast PA, feeling grateful for health and beautiful fall days. Busy day here and just a quick check in before I wash all the dishes in the dishwasher and sink since the dishwasher decided to stop working this week. I was feeling a little overwhelmed since I have an Engine 2 group coming Sat afternoon and someone is coming that a.m. to check the dishwasher and I haven’t cleaned the house or planned the food, but somehow it will work out and if it doesn’t quite, that’s ok, too. In the scheme of things, these things are not that important.
The world lost a beautiful soul this week when a friend from our church lost his battle with ALS. He never let his illness make him bitter and was more positive and encouraging than most of us who have our health. His wife supported him every step of the way and he stayed independent in many things until the end. So, my dishwasher is broken, I’m tired, and I’m behind in everything as usual, so what! I hope I can think of Bill whenever I think things are bad and enjoy every moment regardless of illness, misfortune, or even broken dishwashers!
